Power of Attorney Signing Appointment

Service Description

This appointment is for individuals signing prepared Power of Attorney documents, including financial, medical, healthcare, durable, limited, or related authorization forms. The document must be completed before the appointment and should not be signed until the notary appointment. The Notary Atelier Co. provides notary support only. We do not draft documents, select forms, explain legal terms, or provide legal advice. Clients should contact an attorney or document preparer with questions about document content, legal effect, or required forms. What This Appointment Includes: • One signer • One prepared Power of Attorney document package • Mobile service to your location or private in-office appointment, if selected • Identity verification • Signer willingness and awareness screening • Notarial certificate completion where required • Journal entry as required by Illinois notary law • Appointment time up to 30 minutes Appointment Experience Your appointment is structured to be calm, focused, and efficient. The notary will verify identity, confirm the signer is alert and willing to sign, complete the required notarial act, and return the notarized document package to the client. Important Requirements: • A valid, unexpired government-issued photo ID is required • Documents must be fully completed before the appointment, with no blank sections • Documents must not be signed before the notary appointment • The signer must be alert, aware, willing to sign, and able to communicate directly with the notary • Witness requirements must be confirmed before the appointment If witnesses are required, clients may provide their own eligible witnesses or request professional witness coordination when available.
